Charlie is a retired, but still working, chemical engineer. He is still working because he has two lifelong addictions: travel and good restaurants. As long as he maintains these addictions, he will need to work or sell a lot of books. This is his first. At the time of this writing, he was living in Corpus Christi, Texas, one of the truly beautiful parts of the earth. Charlie has a loving wife, without whom this project would not have been possible, and two grown children. He has even found that he can write about himself in third person, much the way politicians think and speak of themselves. He has written this from his heart, scars and all.
